Devotions Out of Egypt

This week my friends at Red Letter Christians invited me to offer their Wake Up! morning devotions. These are designed to be quick reflections to start your day thinking and practicing the words of Scripture.

I decided to share all five reflections on the theme of subversive strength, as demonstrated by the women in Exodus. These women engaged in the liberation enterprise, showing what it is to be #ExodusStrong. Pharaoh never saw the women as a threat to his empire – he underestimated their capacity. Big mistake! It’s hard to imagine the liberation story of Exodus without women.

MONDAY: Exodus 1:17, The Midwives ( read a bit more here and here… )

TUESDAY: Exodus 2:3, Jochabed

WEDNESDAY: Exodus 2:6, Bithiah (read more about her story here…)

THURSDAY: Exodus 4:25, Zipporah

FRIDAY: Exodus 15:20, Miriam ( read more about her story here...)

Thanks to Red Letter Christians for inviting me to contribute to Wake Up! You can subscribe to their daily devotions to HERE and hear from other friends each weekday morning.
