I welcome the opportunity to speak with groups, small or large, about the many ways we move toward God’s vision of the New City.
I’ve spoken close to home at women’s retreats and congregations in Arizona and Canada. I’ve taught pastors and practitioners abroad in Burundi, Kenya and Uganda..
I’m most often asked to address topics ranging from justice to jubilee economics, Sabbath to Shalom structures. I often preach from the liberation story of Exodus, the prophetic poetry of Isaiah, the parables and gestures of Jesus.
With the release of Adopted: The Sacrament of Belonging in a Fractured World I am eager to enter into conversations around themes of belonging, adoption and inclusion.
Here are some possible ideas for our time together:
The Sacrament of Belonging | What does adoption teach us about how we can belong to others in a fractured world.
Jesus: The Adopted One | How contemplating Jesus as an adopted child can transform how we understand belonging.
Moses and His Mothers | Explore what the mothers of Moses teach us about adoption, solidarity, and liberation.
Our Redeemers | Ruth, Naomi and Boaz show us that there are many kinds of redemption and many redeemers.
Relinquished and Redeemed | Relinquishment and redemption are twin dynamics in the circle of belonging. Both are part of our human experience of relationships and Scripture contributes to our understanding of how each shapes belonging.
I will be stateside August – November 2017 if you want to invite me to speak at your event.
I’D LOVE TO COME SPEAK AT YOUR CONFERENCE OR EVENT. CONTACT ME FOR MORE INFORMATION.
