Yes, it’s that time again – I’m in transit!
Today I fly to Denver to join the good people convening for conversation at The Simply Jesus Gathering. We will spend the next three days discussing – and discovering – JESUS. I know, revolutionary to dig deep and explore what Jesus did, taught, believed… and maybe even expected. I’m excited.

But friends, let me tell you what is really getting my juices flowing this morning… I get to meet D.L.Mayfield in person today!!! We are friends. We vox daily. We read and edit each other’s work. We can range from dorky to deep in no time flat. And today we finally take our friendship into three dimensions. That we get to be side by side amid these Jesus conversations makes it all the sweeter…
And I get to meet another SheLovely in person today…Kathy Escobar. Yes! After a couple of years of both contributing to SheLoves Magazine, I know enough about her to say she’s my sister. Her words, her heart, her advocacy move me forward. So today we will enjoy real presence and a real hug. Tomorrow…well, you’ll just have to tune in and see!
I’ll also get to share a meal with a new friend and co-conspirator, Rachelle Gardner. How wonderful to meet up so early on in our partnership. I imagine there won’t be enough time for all the conversations I want to have with her, but this will be a great start!
So let me go finish packing my bag and checking in so I can get on the road. Please pray for me and my friends. We want to share what we’re learning about Jesus. We want to take Him seriously and be transformed by a real encounter with Him among His tribe.
